Aluminum snap caps Cal. 40SW - 5 Pcs

The 40SW  aluminium snap cap is an unjustly neglected product in the wide range of gun accessories. Firing blank, without cartridges, presents a drawback: the firing pin is in fact designed to stop its stroke on the primer, be it central or annular; if the cartridge is not chambered, its motion stops at a bottom of the stroke that is not the one intended by the designer and in the long run this movement can cause deformation and/or breakage.

This is one of the fundamental functions of the firing pin protector: to protect the firing pin during blank firing, i.e. firing without ammunition, in order to perfect the firing technique. Another very important use of the firing pin protector is to use it together with the ammunition, in a magazine, in order to simulate jams during firing.
