The aluminium snap caps 9X21 is an unjustly neglected product in the vast array of weapon accessories. Yet its function is fundamental: it protects the firing pin during blank firing, i.e. firing without ammunition, in order to perfect the shooting technique.

Shooting without cartridges, however, presents a drawback: the firing pin is in fact designed to stop its travel on the primer, be it central or annular, and if the cartridge is not chambered, its motion stops at a bottom of travel that is not the one intended by the designer.

In the long run, this can lead to deformation and breakage.
